Knoxville artist Rey Pineda studied fine arts at Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. His art is a culmination of a diverse cultural, spiritual and travel experiences. He moved from the Philippines to Japan in 1986, then to East Tennessee in December 1988. Pineda worked as illustrator, graphic designer and blogger at The News Sentinel 1990-2016. Pineda lives in Knoxville, Tenn., where he paints at his home studio.
