Description

Our normally pristine Tahoe air has smoke from the Detwiler Fire causing an unusual sunset with multi-colored halos around the sun.

We have a disconcerting juxtaposition of beauty with the dramatic sunset and intense sky color contrasted with the horrible destruction of the beast, a 70,000 acre wildfire burning one hundred miles away in Mariposa County near Yosemite.

A tall fir tree is silhouetted against the colorful sky.
