An early mountain snow in October blankets the foliage of the snowball tree creating a beautiful juxtaposition of two seasons. The colorful three lobed leaves resemble maple leaves. A wood door is in the background.
The snowball bush (or snowball tree as I was first introduced to it) produces snowball-like clusters of flowers here Tahoe in early summer.
