Description
The title to this painting says it all: "Lonely Cabin". Many times I think how nice it would be to live in such a place, paint all day, and ... who knows ... just live. Then the practical nature of things takes over and "puff" it's all gone. Enjoy this little painting, it's the closest some of us well ever come to know the like.

I appreciate your greeting, Jacabo, & the whistful mood you've established here--broken only by smoke & winged creatures...

Wow! I feel really happy about the selection. I've been in a slump, my paint brushes are rusting away... the holidays are eating away at my time and creativity. jacabo.

For such a lonely place funny how it exudes expressiveness and feeling all over the place. A favorite! f/v

I sometimes wonder about the practical aspects of my work. i.e. in a place w/o trees, why is it that there's smoke coming out of the chimmney? LOL. jacabo

I guess the synthesis you admire is an age old one, can we really capture nature for our selves?

CONGRATULATIONS! This work is the Administrator's Choice for the week of 02/17/13 in the Old MASTERS--Painters and Traditional Arts group. Excellent work! I love the minimalism and the sense of the sweeping landscape! v/f/feature.
