"We were honored to host wildlife photographer and author Timothy C. Flanigan today as he presented the special Governor's edition of his book "Grouse & Woodcock: The Birds of My Life to the Pennsylvania State Library." Sarah Greene, Director of the State Library, accepted the special edition at the library's temporary location at the Keystone Building in Harrisburg, PA on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. The State Library of Pennsylvania is one of the largest research libraries in the Commonwealth. Its collection of materials started on December 5, 1875. The State Library's collections reflect its basic mission to provide and preserve the stories of Pennslyvania. Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA) announced and awarded the association's annual Excellence in Craft Awards at the 89th annual conference in Billings, MT on July 17,2016. Timothy Flanigan won First Place honors in the Magazine/E-zine Humor Category for an article titled 'Talking Dog', published in the Aug. 2015 issue of the Game News Magazine, which was also their 1000 issue. Tim also received Third place honors in the Hunting or Shooting Sports Category, sponsored by the National Rifle Association, for his article, 'The Approved Manner', published by the Upland Almanac. The Photography Contest, Action Category, awarded Third Place to Flanigan for his image 'Water Walking Red-breasted Merganser'.

The winning image was "Drumming Grouse" published by the Ruffed Grouse Society in their 2014 calendar. The awards were presented at the organization's annual spring conference held in April, 2015 in Bedford, PA.

Pennsylvania photographer and outdoor writer, Tim Flanigan, was the recipient of the 2013 first place Published Magazine Photo award for his whitetail deer image titled 'Licking Stick' that appeared on the cover of Quality Whitetails, the magazine of the Quality Deer Management Association. The award was presented by the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association, of which Tim is a member and past president, at their Spring Conference in Franklin, PA , May 4, 2013. This was the sixth year Tim has been honored by his peers for this award.
