Description
The November 2016 supermoon was extra-super! It was the closest full moon since January 1948 and the full moon will not come this close to Earth again until November 2034. This made the moon look bigger and brighter than normal.
This was shot in South Lake Tahoe, California. The supermoon rose above a rooftop balcony, with the balcony and bare branches forming an interesting silhouette against the moon, giving the scene an Asian art feel.
